About Us at Eberhardt Senior community

Arthur, Illinois is a small, peaceful, mid-western village in east Central Illinois located in the heart of the Illinois Amish Country, having the oldest and largest Amish settlement in the state surrounding it with some 4,000 individuals as a part of that faith and culture.

Eberhardt Senior Community is located on a 27 acre campus in the southwest edge of our village.  It consists of Eberhardt Village, Inc., our newest addition opened in 2008, to provide assisted living, and The Arthur Home that provides skilled and rehabilitation care for Seniors.

Eberhardt Village is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit, private pay, 37 suite facility consisting of 17 studios, 17 one bedrooms, 2 two bedroom apartments, and a hospitality suite.  This unit could accommodate 56 Seniors.  It is staffed around the clock with a Director of Nursing, LPN’s and CNA’s.  Our Community Director has 25 years experience in senior care including skilled.  Our Director of Nursing has had 23 years senior care experience also including skilled.  Our Chief Operating Officer has had 22 years experience in senior care.  The Village is licensed with the Illinois Department of Public Health.  For the comfort and safety of our Seniors, this unit is fully generated and sprinkled with off site alarm monitoring.

Community Retirement, Inc., operating as The Arthur Home, is a 501 (c) (3) not-for profit skilled care facility that is celebrating its 50th year in operation serving over 2,000 Seniors during that time period.  It can accommodate 62 Seniors in private and shared rooms.  In addition to private pay, it is certified under Medicaid and Medicare.  It houses our rehabilitation department that serves both it and the Village.  The administrator is also the Chief Operating Officer of Eberhardt Village with 22 years of experience in senior care.  Our Director of Nursing has 20 years of experience in senior care and our Assistant Director of Nursing has 18.  The Arthur Home is also licensed with the Illinois Department of Public Health.  This unit is fully generated and except for the 1975 fully concrete addition, is also fully protected by a fire protection sprinkler system.
